Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Pre-Assessment
As a pre-assessment, I voice recorded my kindergarten students' responses to the following questions:
- What does it mean to recycle?
- What happens to something you put in the recycle bin?
- Do you recycle at home?
- What sorts of things do you put in the recycling bin?
- What does it mean to 'go green'?
Students' responses ranged from minimal understanding, to a developing sense of recycling and its importance to our global community. From these responses, I was able to develop my Three R's unit.
